Do Concrete Countertops Stain?
Stain resitance on your countertops depends on how they are sealed. There are a wide variety of sealers in use. Contact us and we can review sealer options and pros and cons for each.
Can they be damaged by heat?
That depends on the sealer. Some sealers, such as urethanes, have very little heat resistance, whereas others can resist hot pots with no problems.
Can I cut on them?
Cutting on your countertops can damage the sealer, resulting in increased susceptibility to staining. Cutting on the concrete will also ruin your knives, requiring a professional resharpening to reshape the damaged edge. Remember, concrete is made with stone, the same thing used to sharpen knives (and will therefore dull them just as easily).
What are the color options?
